Understanding coverage and deductibles

Coverage is about what a policy protects, how much it can pay, and what you pay yourself. A premium is the price of the policy; a deductible is a portion of a covered claim that you pay.

Compare the same limits

An inexpensive policy may have different limits, deductibles, exclusions, or optional protections. Review matching terms before comparing prices. A lower premium alone does not establish that a policy is suitable.

Ask the provider

Confirm who issues the policy, which drivers and vehicles it covers, how claims work, and when coverage begins. Milewiser does not calculate personal premiums. Contact a licensed insurance professional for advice about your situation.
